User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 95) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 I want to get new Original poster messages as well as new responses to existing threads. I want to view the newest messages first, then work down to the older stuff in threaded format. I've set up my retrieval views like this: Views | Messages | Threaded & All Views | Threads | Threads with unread Views | Sort by | Order received Descending When I retrieve messages from a NG, the Header pane centres up on a seemingly random thread somwhere in the middle of the messages that download, and some threads are expanded; some not. I can collapse the threads by hitting the \ key and I get get back to the head of the downloaded list with Ctrl + Home. This gives me the set up I want, but I shouldn't have to do this manually EVERY BLINKIN' TIME. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I had the same problem with 1.6 final under Linux x86 and it's still there after upgrading that machine to 1.7a today. It's real annoying. I voted for it.
