Ok I go to the following website: http://www.desktopwallpapers.net/celebs/
When I surf around in there looking for wallpapers for different celebrities I
get a pop-up window with the following:
The file "0_1.asp" is of type text/asp, and Mozilla does not know how to handle
this file type."
I have attached a window capture of the bug. I get it a bunch of times. I mean
the webpage load justs fine. But what the heck do I do with this window ? I get
tired of clicking "Cancel" all the time.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go the website listed above
2. Scroll through for screen wallpapers. Go Back and Forward.
3. The window mentioned above should come up.
Actual Results:
The page loads fine. This window is annonying and does not go away.
Expected Results:
The window should never come up.

I can't reproduce this...
but if the server sends a wrong mime type, that's not mozilla's fault.

guys. i just went to the website that i mention in the bug. the window does
indeed pop up for me.
so a better question is what to do with text/asp file types? nothing is
mentioned in my "helper applications". i could add something there, but what am
i supposed to do with the 0_1.asp file?
what should happen when this window comes up ? i saved the 0_1.asp and attached
it here.

hello. i found out that this issue is related to norton internet security. when
i disable it i can go to the site and i get a pop-up ad. when i enable norton i
do not get the pop-up ad but i do get the text/asp window as described.
i do not have a proxy. i have a direct connection with norton enabled. so what
is the best way to fix this? basically how do i get mozilla to not show this
text/asp window. i just want it to go away. thanks!

You don't. The site is sending us data we can't handle, so we ask you how to
handle it.

I would've marked it "invalid, complain at norton", because there's not much
value in showing the bad request text for which we are not to blame, but whatever.
