Sometimes, preferences window content does not fit to window size, and it
appears cropped, with some contents hidden, specialy if you are using a
translated version of Mozilla. This window should be resizable, for allow user
to reach all options
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.(Optional)Install a Mozilla translation that uses long expressions (like Spanish)
2.Launch Preferences window
Actual Results:
Window should be user-resizable
Expected Results:
Window size is fixed, and cannot be changed.
Using classic theme. Chatzilla preferences window is resizable, so it will be a
good idea to apply this to Mozilla prefs window, too.

Using a spanish translation. May occur with other translations too.

Duplicate of bug 93400.
The size was fixed in bug 79948, mainly I think because a variable size would
provoke larger and larger and more and more contents to be placed into it - "you
can resize it if it does not fit".
_Because_ it is fixed, translators know exactly how much text they can place
into it before causing problems, so you might want to contact the Spanish
translators about this.
However, I noticed you have a non-default font, maybe this is one is wider and
causes the problem, so you might try using the default font...

I still think that this window, so-called "dialog", MUST BE resizable. That
options text cannot be more resumed, because it will become too confuse. Look at
Chatzilla prefs dialog, it is resizable, and has scrollbars too. Why not
implement this in AppSuite too?
Adding a scrollbar to main content pane will also help, because sometimes we
need to locate/edit "strange things" in Mozilla. Yup, i'm using a non-standard
font, but Comic Sans MS isn't too wide. The Mac default font is wider than my font.

Well, this bug here is a duplicate. You can look at the original bug or better
at bug 79948 which removed resizing. I guess everything was already said there...

Umm... Chatzilla prefs are part of the Suite prefs, so how should it be resizable??

Hmm... maybe it's the _height_: I just compared with default font and even the
first few lines (where there is no difference in line numbers between Spanish
and English version) need more vertical space with your font, so please try default.
However, this will not suffice, I fear: two additional lines are too many...
maybe translators do find a shorter text for the labels...

Since version 0.9.5x, Chatzilla has a independent and resizable properties
window. And not, option texts can't be shorter (unless implementing tooltips for
detail that things)
Just for the record, localizers can increase the size of the pref window, just
take a look at these files:
