It was actual windows manager a tool to manage windows's windows wich was having
the right click copy menu be focused instead of the selected text so when you

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
text has lost focus and the copy action didn't do anything

Expected Results:
les the selected text focused and copy hen asked
Which tool were you using? The 'X focus' Powertoy or whaterver it's called?

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue? Also, was it a problem with the
Actual Windows Manager?

If you say to Actual Windows Manager to manage firefow windows yes always
copy/past may not work regardless of use of windows manager.
In my environment(Windows Xp Pro SP1), it reproduces 100% at the following steps.
However, another user who is using the same Windows XP had reported that it
reproduced at about 10%.
The procedure which this problem reproduces certainly is not found yet.

1.firefox will be restarted if firefox is performing.
2.The following URL is opened.
   http://www.mozilla.org/roadmap/release-status.html
3. From the open page, a tab opens(e.g. command + click) the following links.

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?&field0-0-0=flagtypes.name&type0-0-0=substring&value0-0-0=blocking1.7b%2B&resolution=---

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?&field0-0-0=flagtypes.name&type0-0-0=equals&value0-0-0=blocking1.7b%3F&resolution=---

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?&field0-0-0=flagtypes.name&type0-0-0=equals&value0-0-0=approval1.7b%3F&resolution=---

4. One tab is chosen from tabs opened at Step 3. And arbitrary characters are
chosen.

5.It changes to another tab. The tab to change is chosen from the tabs opened at
Step 3.

6.Arbitrary characters are chosen and the right button of a mouse is pushed.
Edit items, such as copy/past, do not appear in a context menu.

7.Edit of a menu bar is chosen.
Similarly, items, such as copy/past, cannot be chosen.

Can you reproduce this with a clean install of the latest nightly and a new profile?
I see the same behavior as comment 5 on:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040310
Firefox/0.8.0+

I also saw it on Gecko/20040226 Firefox=0.8.0+

But not with a clean profile, there's some other bug that causes a crash with a
clean profile on my machine.

I'll leave this unconfirmed for now.
This WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b)
Gecko/20040310 Firefox/0.8.0+

If nobody can reproduce the behavior in Comment #5 with a current nightly that
has been installed cleanly with a new profile, I am going to mark this as WFM.

Yes.
Clean install firefox.
I am continuing using only the package of zip format until now.
(The installer version is not used once.)

About profile, it reproduces 100% by both an existing thing and new profile.
However, Extensions, theme, XUL application, etc. are not installed.

And this problem is reported by bugzilla of Japan.
http://bugzilla.mozilla.gr.jp/show_bug.cgi?id=3246
Report Date:2003-06-29

It is reported that this problem also reproduces the Linux version.
http://bugzilla.mozilla.gr.jp/show_bug.cgi?id=3246#c7

Although I performed the reproduction test with the Mac version before, it is
remembered that the rate of generating was not filled to 1%, either.
At the step of comment#5, I think that it also reproduces the Mac version
although the rate of generating is very low.

A dynamic page like the reference result of bugzilla is displayed by two or more
tabs, and if tab is changed choosing a character in the tab, I will think that
it is easy to reproduce this problem.
(By the test using the static page, it is not reproducing once.)
