Open mozilla, copy some text. Shut down the app. Now try to paste it. Nothing on
the clipboard.

Linux only, as pav needs to implement this feature. Mac and windows work fine.

Should this bug be fixed?

Other applications(gedit, gftp, xchat and Netscape Communicator 4.7) work
as Mozilla.

It seems this is a problem of Desktop Environment(I use GNOME) or window
manager(I use sawfish).

This bug seems to have been forgotten for quite some time... However, I'm having exactly the same symptoms in Firefox and Thunderbird nowadays.

Copying some text and then quitting the app in question clears out the Clipboard. I believe this is very inconsistent (at least I've just tried this with gedit, and the text copied remains in the clipboard after shutting the application down).

Anyone to fix that, or is it intended so? Current behaviour is very, VERY annoying.
