I suggest a new filter type to mail message filters. Instead of plain header
matching, there could be a filter type matching "Match if mail contains an
attachment file matching xxx", where xxx could be for example "*.exe". Also a
checkbox "Match attachment name case sensitively" would be nice or alternatively
I suggest that it would be always case insensitive.
This would make foldering of potentially harmful stuff very easy. At least I'm
not interested to dig through the mailbox in order to see, if there actually
would be that one-of-the-million mail with *.exe, *.pif, *.bat, *.cmd or similar
attachment which doesn't make virus radar say *bzzzzt* and actually contain
something useful. This would just get rid of the problem.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
IMHO this is a dupe of Bug 105169 (Filter for Attachments). Similiar thing is
Bug 175384 (Filter on size of attachments).
yes.. an exact dup of bug 219319, which was resolved as dup of bug 105169
