Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113
When composing an email message (particularly when replying to a message)... if
one scrolls around using either the scrollbar or moving the cursor with the
arrow keys, visual artifacts are created within the text.
These artifacts are visual only, not printable, and dissappear, reappear as one
navigates the message and the area is redrawn. They are black vertical lines
that correspond to places in the message where replied to text is demarked with
a vertical blue line. They extend to any extent in the document including into
the signature area.
I have seen this on Netscape 7.x as well.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Reply to email w/in Mozilla 1.6 Mac
2. use the up and down arrow keys to scroll up and down through the message.
3.
Actual Results:
Black link artifacts cover the first few pixels of each line of text in many places.
Expected Results:
Not displayed said black lines.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

This bug report is now over a year and a half old. The problem still exists and
as far as I know has never been addressed. I've had contact with others who
have seen this bug report when searching before submitting their own bug report
on the topic. The problem still exists in the most recent release(s).
Please do not "auto resolve" it. The problem is valid and unresolved.
