User-Agent: Build Identifier: Now that firefox is out, I tend to like it a bit more than safari--with its extensions and all. The only thing keeping me from using it is the one problem I keep having but don't know how to fix with the firebird/firefox line. In safari, we are able to open links from other applications(i.e. mail) in the same browser window but a different tab; I like this feature a lot. However, from what I've seen in firebird/firefox, mozilla, and camino( ithink) is that when click a link in another application, instead of opening in the same page but a different tab, it opens up a whole new window. Is there any setting I haven't found that can change this? It's not that big a problem, but does get annoying when I follow my usual routine of checking all mail first, and then reading associated links afterward. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.click on a link in mail, for example. 2.action opens up a new window, instead of a new tab in the same window 3. Would like for the action to open up a new tab in the main window Actual Results: New window opens. Can be cumbersome when opening multiple links in other applications(i.e. mail). Expected Results: Open the link in a new tab either in the foreground or background.
