After compacting IMAP folder (to purge messages marked deleted) the deleted
message is still visible and the message list loses focus

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Mark a message as deleted on an IMAP server
2. File > Compact Folders. (Alt + F + F)

Actual Results:  
1. Message gets deleted from message list
2. The message is still visible in the message preview pane
3. The message list pane loses focus

Expected Results:  
1. Message gets deleted from message list
2. The next message in the list should become visible in the message preview
pane, or if you are at the end, then the last message should be visible
3. The message list pane should keep the focus if thats where the focus was
before pressing Alt + F + F

This is similar to bug 192870 -- in fact, a comment there mentions that that bug 
is "similar to the IMAP Compact problem."  However, I can't find another open 
bug for this issue.

* Checks to see if the currently selected message is marked as deleted and
clears the selection and message pane.

ideally something should notify us that the selected message gets removed from
the thread pane
this will probably fix this and other bugs such as bug 192870

I see a slightly different behavior than when this was last discussed.

If I mark a message deleted in the pane it immediately moves to the
next message and that message becomes visible. When I do a compact the
marked message disappears and things are fine.

However,  if I am on the *last* message in the pane then I see this
behavior.  When I compact, the pane loses focus and the deleted
message is still shown.  The proper behavior would be to show the
previous message (which is now last).

I see now this bug is for the application suite.  I am seeing this on TB build 2007030111 under Linux.

As far as I can see this bug has now been fixed somewhere else (in the last 2.5 years or so), as I no longer get the problem -> WFM
