User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040219 I can't find any information why Mozilla does not load the background images when they are not visible in the viewport. The URL provided heavily used background images which fully reflects the problem. When we scroll down the scrollbar, the second background image(A house with a road) started to load until we can see the area of the background image positioned. And Mozilla treats the third one with same behaviour and so on. Therefore we have to wait continuously until they are all loaded. The same problem is produced by the widely used of hover navigation list with background images by CSS designers. When you move your mouse to the navigation list, the items used background images are shown. Per the Mozilla's behavior, the hover list would show first and attach the background images until it is loaded. However, before the images are loaded, the text of item are shown and the text will be overlapped. Also, no end user would know the list has background images or not. They would only think it's the fault of Mozilla until they can load the background images successfully. Here is the example which used the hover navigation list I mentioned above. http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=http://www.inet.hr/~mdugonji/webdesign/experiments/lemon_aid/sample-file.css Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
