trash folder disappears when emptying trash

The trash folder disappears when the trash bin is building a summary list and I
right click on the trash folder and click Empty Trash.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup a POP3 account in Mozilla
2. Download 30,000 (this is what happened to me, not sure how you guys will
confirm it) email messages.
3. Select All emails and delete
4. Click on Trash folder, the status bar will say building summary
5. Right click on Trash folder and click Empty Trash

Actual Results:  
Trash folder disappears.

Expected Results:  
Trash folder should be emptied.
If you close down all mozilla windows and open mozilla back up the Trash folder
does reappear.
