When opening the mail/newsgroups window the mail window will open and show
existing mail (as seen when previously loaded in Netscape 7.2) but fails to ask
for password to log into mail. Will not connect when an e.mail is selected in
the resulting open (not logged into) mail window. This feature works fine - same
settings and environment- when in Netscape 7.2 for Mac OS 10.3.2.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open mozzila
2.choose window > mail/newsgroups
3.window opens but does not connect

Actual Results:  
mail window opens but cannot connect. Error message displays =

Failed to connect to server imap.mail.netcenter.com.

Expected Results:  
mail window opens to allow access to incoming mail.

You can't access Netscape webmail with Mozilla Mail.
That's a Netscape feature..

Verified.  The netscape mail stuff uses a proprietary protocol.
