I can no longer paste into Mozilla windows (ie, when composing mail messages). 
The result is either nothing was pasted, a short amount of gibberish, or the
browser crashes.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select text in a terminal window or other non-mozilla window
2. paste into mozilla window/widget that accepts text

Actual Results:  
Nothing or browser crash

Expected Results:  
Text pasted into mozilla

The same problem shows up on my Fedora Core 1 GNU/Linux laptop.
This is a regression from bug 56219 ...

... marking bug as DUPlicate of bug 233317 since we collect the victims there...
