Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. http://www.vimas.com/ve_record_applet_sdk.htm 2. click 'record' button 3. cry! Actual Results: moz crashed Expected Results: started recording, like it does in InternetExplorer i certainly apologize if this is not the correct or proper forum for this issue, but i thought that perhaps nothing should have actually caused mozilla to come to an end; perhaps an error message but certainly not a crash.
Severity: normal → critical
confirmed. But for me, every time mozilla crashes in a different way. Can you retry this use newest Sun JRE 1.5.0beta?

Ever confirmed: true
ok loaded java1.5, no crashing, but now it 'locks' out every other page. note that m$-IE does not seem to have this problem :-( seems to have the same results with moz1.6 & 1.7
everything seems to work fine on ns7.1 as well. is the error because of interaction of Mozilla JavaScript and Javaapplet ?
This doesn't crash for me but "hangs" the page (not the browser) as it does for Mark in his last comment. Updating summary. After clicking the record button, none of the other links on the page accept clicks.
Summary: moz crashed when i clicked 'record' button in this URL → clicking 'record' button in this URL makes page unusable
I tried this with most recent firefox and jre, no crash, no hang. so closed as WFM.
