The new DM provides all sorts of comprehensive data about the active downloads,
except the conspicuously-absent percent value, and when you are downloading more
than one file at a time, you cannot determine the percent from the title of the
DM window. I think that the exact percent number should appear to the immediate
right of the progress bar on each download, or to make it more visually
interesting, it could be IN the progress bar, to the immediate right of the blue
area and advance to the right with the motion of the blue bar. When it gets to
50%, the number could stop until the bar has moves entirely to the right of the
number, and then the number can continue to follow the bar on the left side
until it reaches 1000%.

Wouldn't that be cool?!
I recent my earlier (stupid) idea regarding the cool(?) display of a percent
value that moves with the progress bar. I was obviously not remembering that
the XP theme uses those little green bar thingies. So please pretend that I
only ever proposed to put the percent number to the right of the progress bar :)
Blocks: 262161
No longer blocks: 262161
Or you may put that percent value in the middle of progress bar.

I would also like not only "remain" time shown, but also "ETA" (current system
time + remain time).

ETA for DM window title should be maximum or minimum.

Maybe some sort of configuration for DM will be handy, what/where should be
displayed. (also with the ability to disable the small "downloads finished" window)
(maybe a good idea for some extension, if the current DM is written in a modable
way ... I didn't check FireFox sources, so I'm not sure what can be done to DM
from extensions/Themes)

Also the small "downloads finished" window does have the text underlined and
looking like a link, but when I click on it, it does not open the download
manager window.
Does this still exist under trunk?
I don't get it, why would you want a percent value? You have the exact size
displayed in kb, and you can very easily determine how much of the download is
done from the progress bar. If it's half filled you know about half the download
is done, why would you need to know if it's 53% or 51% done?

I'd say this would be just useless clutter (and I bet it's not very hard to add
with an extension; perhaps some XBL on the progress-bars).
Two examples how the percentages could be displayed.

Another method would be displaying it in the text under the progress bar, e. g.
"4.4 of 7.8 MB (56 %) at 74.3 kB/s; 00:46 remaining".
There is another **** thing in the DM window. When you start downloading
multiple files, for example: you first start download a movie and second you
download subtitles. The precent in the title of the DM windows bugs and it's not
correct. For example on the right of the movie download there is a sign : 0:20
left, but the title is on 42%.

The progressbar is sufficient - we do not need more UI clutter.
