Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/1.6b
When I try to start both, the browser and the mail client, the Mozilla-Logo
appears normally as if it was loading, but then after some seconds I return to
the desktop (without any error messages). The problem arises after installing
Enigmail 0.83 (I was able to start it directly after installing Enigmail, but
not after a reboot).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Mozilla from anywhere (links or directly)
2. Wait for the Mozilla-Logo
3. It crashes without warning
Actual Results:
Unable to start, crashes after a few milliseconds
Expected Results:
Should start Mozilla.
I'm unable to provide any more information since I cannot access Mozilla.

It seems that the problem occurs also to FireFox, FireBird users, but they at
least get an error message:
The FIREFOX.EXE file is
linked to missing export OLEAUT32.DLL:77.
If I double posted a bug I'm really sorry for that. It looks like the
installation of Enigmail does not influence the bug, as I installed all
versions from 1.5 upwards to 1.7A, always with the same problem.
Reporter, do you have the file oleaut32.dll on your system?
Could you try to create a log and attach it here?
Shutdown Mozilla (also Quicklaunch) and open a DOS console (Eingabeaufforderung)
and run the following commands (after every line press enter):
set NSPR_LOG_MODULES=All:5
set NSPR_LOG_FILE=c:\mozillatest.log
start "C:\programme\mozilla.org\mozilla\mozilla.exe"
Change the path if Mozilla is elsewhere installed (I assumed the default path
for a German windows).

I'm really sorry to tell you, but I already figured out (this afternoon) how to
fix the problem:
A program has overwritten my version of OLEAUT32.dll (2.40.xxx) with an older
version (2.20.xxx) and some programs where therefore unable to run.
I fixed it by exchanging the two versions starting the PC in DOS-Mode.
Thank you very much for your help.

Christian, please change the resolution to INVALID, because it was not Mozilla's
fault and no fix was checked in. Thanks!
