User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:) Gecko/20040304 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:) Gecko/20040304 I can't find a bug on this and have been seeing it for a few weeks/months/builds. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Browse the web for a day or say [that is: accumulate some history] 2.Display the history in the sidebar and read the first couple of entries 3.Delete the top most entry from the history in the sidebar Actual Results: The second item remains the second item, but that some other item from somewhere in the list jumps to spot 1 and is next in line for delete.... Expected Results: ...while the second item should've become the new first item after deleting the first item. This is what happens when deleting a folder. It doesn't happen when deleting the top URL within a folder. In some way this leads to DATA LOSS as possible the wrong history items are deleted [example: i think it's OK the delete the first three items, however, number 2 and three don't move up in rank, and instead i use an item i didn't want to delete.] Not setting severity to CRITICAL THOUGH.

MASS-CHANGE: This bug report is registered in the SeaMonkey product, but has been without a comment since the inception of the SeaMonkey project. This means that it was logged against the old Mozilla suite and we cannot determine that it's still valid for the current SeaMonkey suite. Because of this, we are setting it to an UNCONFIRMED state. If you can confirm that this report still applies to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it back to the NEW state along with a comment on how you reproduced it on what Build ID, or if it's an enhancement request, why it's still worth implementing and in what way. If you can confirm that the report doesn't apply to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it to the appropriate RESOLVED state (WORKSFORME, INVALID, WONTFIX, or similar). If no action happens within the next few months, we move this bug report to an EXPIRED state. Query tag for this change: mass-UNCONFIRM-20090614

Interestingly, I see this only under Windows XP, using SM 2.8a1, but not with Linux trunk. The key issue seems to be using the unsorted mode of the history panel.
