For example "Internet" (or "internet", though it should be capitalized) are not known to it. Also, common "brand name" words such as "eBay" should be included. Is there a URL at which one can submit words for inclusion? Jay Smith Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use common words like "Internet" Actual Results: Spell checker did not know "Internet" Expected Results: Spell checker should have recognized "Internet" as a correct and known word.

"Internet" is known here, using Mozilla 1.6

Frank,
I stand corrected. "Internet" (cap I) is known here -- my error.
However... "internet" (lowecase i) is NOT known to the spell checker (and my
understanding is that the word should be capitalized -- for a couple more years
anyway. But much more importantly, the suggestion list does NOT include "Internet".
This seems to be pointing out a different problem. If a word is supposed to be
capitalized, the spell checker is failing to include the capitalized version in
the suggestion list.
I just tried the same test for
william and William
william was not known and there were no suggestions.
William was known as a proper word.
I have changed the title of this bug.
Thanks.
Jay

The two bugs appear pretty separate. This one is about capitalizing words that are not capitalized, but should be (current behavior - spellchecker correcty complains, but the replacement list does not include the correct capitalization). Bug 128122, on the other hand is about complaining when words are improperly capitalized - based on their position in a sentence (current behavior - spellchecker fails to complain).

works for me. william gives the suggestion William (granted, only as second option, but it is there). And internet gives Internet as suggestion.
Michiel van Leeuwen.... On what version/platform does it work for you? Thanks. Jay
