User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031107 Debian/1.5-3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031107 Debian/1.5-3 it would be nice to have ad filtering build right into the browser. JunkBuster and the others work well, but for the average user setting up a local HTTP proxy is too painful. an average user would only have one browser, so integrating the ad filtering into it is okay. and running a proxy 24/7, even if not browsing is wasting resources. the built-in ad fliter would nicely fit with the popup blocking as well! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
some sort of ad filtering is already available by blocking images from specific sites, but preconfigured URLs of the major ad sites would be easier.
Try out the AdBlock extension. -> http://texturizer.net/firefox/extensions/#adblock *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 94035 ***
