User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040311 Firefox/0.8.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040311 Firefox/0.8.0+ The (vintage) stats service for a web site I am associated uses two java applet graphs to display statistics about activity on the site. These two graphs are each drawn correctly when the service is accessed using Mozilla Firefox, but the placement of the graphs is wrong: the error varies but includes overlapping of text and of each other, and sometimes they also appear on other tabs open in the same browser. None of these problems appear when service is accessed using Safari or IE on Mac, or IE on Windows. Similar problems did appear on Windows XP - but not used a Windows machine recently so can't confirm this still case. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the statistics service site (sorry can't give access details - but see pictures of outputs links below) 2. Review any page with Java-Applet graphs 3. See rendering errors Actual Results: You can see screen-shots of the failing rendering here: http://www.2gc.co.uk/dropbox/javabug.html Expected Results: You can see screen-shots of the page rendered correctly in Safari here: http://www.2gc.co.uk/dropbox/javabug.html
Some extra info - the overlapping appears to be linked to moving down the page using block moves (e.g. clicking below vertical scroll bar element to go down page in pages) rather than using line moves (e.g. clicking on 'down' arrow at bottom of scroll bar).
appearing on other tabs issue is a dup of Bug 162134.
