Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7
Build Identifier: Firebird/0.8 Mozilla/1.6

When connection to the internet through a proxy server with requires domain
authenication, FireFox doesn't
1)use the default credentials of the logged in user.
2)automatically reuse credentials when remember me is checked. The credentials
are remembered, but not automatically used (you have to press enter after
opening an instance of FireFox when no other instance is opened.

Firefox is interchangable with Mozilla in this bug context.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the first instance of Firefox/Mozilla on a network requiring a domain
authentication to access the internet.

Actual Results:
Continually asks for authentication.

Expected Results:
Automatically attempted to use default credentials, automatically use remembered
credentials.

Interenet explorer automatically uses logged in credentials on any windows
station and only requires them to be entered one (ever after checking remember)
on a Mac OS9/X station.
We use Microsfot ISA (w/ Surf Control plug) which requires domain level
authentication at the proxy so we can enable web filtering based on domain group
membership.
1) is bug 231529
2) might have a dupe somewhere, I couldn't find one right away.

Please only file one issue per bug in the future.
