User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 I installed the mozilla address book sync via the palm menu that is part of mozilla 1.7. When I looked in the hostsync application custom... function I found that the desktop address book conduit had been completely removed. Instead I found the mozilla address book conduit. This is ok - and when I synced the palm it synced properly. First issue. I would like to sync both the palm desktop and the mozilla address book. An approach where the palm desktop address book conduit is left in place and the mozilla conduit is then added as a separate conduit would be prefered to the current approach. Second issue/bug. When I used the palm tools menu entry to uninstall the mozilla address book sync, the palm desktop address book sync was not restored properly. I am using palm desktop version 4.1. I am syncing with a Tungsten/W. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: (The following was attempted with hostsync both loaded and shut down) 1. Use the mozilla/palm tools/address book palm sync install start menu entry to install the address book sync. 2. Restart hostsync and look at the custom function 3. Sync the address book 4. Shut down hostsync. 5. Use the mozilla/palm tools/address book palm sync uninstall start menu entry to uninstall the address book sync. 6. Restart hostsync and you will see the address book conduit is missing and the mozilla address book conduit has been replaced with a "dot". 7. Try syncing - the address book will no longer sync. To recover - reinstall the desktop - or restore via the XP restore function. Actual Results: Uninstall did not resore hostsync for the palm address book. Expected Results: Palm address book conduit is restored.
second issue likely dup of bug 219227, and may be fixed on the trunk (bug 236923)
