Are all settings regarding junk-mail also the defaults?
(In reply to comment #1) > Are all settings regarding junk-mail also the defaults? gotcha ;) the junk mail controls were still enabled: [x] enable junk mail control [x] do not mark messages as junk ... adress book: [Collected Adresses] [x] move incoming ... to (o) Other [Spam on ... account] I have disabled these settings now ... could this have been the reason why checking on startup still occoured ? Cheers, -Simon
No.. I was thinking of bug 223800. When junk setting for "automatically delete messages older than XX days" is activated, it triggers mailcheck.
Simon, is this still a valid bug?
I can not reproduce this bug by using SeaMonkey 1.1.9.
