Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 I have been trying to make Mozilla portable on my usb drive. Part of the problem is that in the installation of Mozilla, regardless of what location is used, certain entries are made to the registry, and some files are put in the /program files/common files directory. When moving to another computer, the Mozilla installation on the USB drive doesn't run. It would be helpful if: 1. All setting needed to run Mozilla were stored in a user defined place. 2. All program files needed to run Mozilla were put in the executable directory. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
if the registry isn't used, then how would other apps find that the GRE was already installed? full-disk scan? that part of the bug is Invalid, I don't know anything about those files that always are installed in the /program files/common files directory.
Marking as a dupe of bug 211628. There are a few batch files in that bug that people claim to work. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 211628 ***
