User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040211 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040211 Firefox/0.8 Sometimes I accidently type in a wrong URL or visit a subsection of a page that I rarely go to. Either way, the link sticks around in my history drop-down for a long time and makes it hard to find the link I actually want. It woud be nice if I could right click to remove it from the drop-down history so it doesn't pop up over and over. If the same link is removed more than once, firefox should never add it into the drop-down history. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
With the latest builds, you should be able to use Shift-Delete to remove the highlighted entry from any autocomplete dropdown.
...and as a result of the above, this is all but certainly WONTFIX. I'd mark it as such except that normal bug triagers shouldn't mark bugs as WONTFIX, per some doc on mozilla.org that I'm too lazy to find.
yeah, we'd have to implement contextmenu support on autocomplete widgets, which would be hard as hell and probably wouldn't ever work quite right without a ton of error checking
About the typos being saved, that is bug 9203. And about the contextmenu menu on autocomplete, that is bug 198327. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 198327 ***
