When composing a plain text email, I often include links or mail addresses in
the text. I would like to be able to easily verify these are working while
typing the email or newsgroup message. However, I cannot verify them until I
send the messaage and it is in the sent folder, at which time it is often too late.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Compose an email (I use plaintext mode)
2. Enter a link to mozilla by typing http://mozzarella.org
3. Hope you spelled the link right and send the message
4. Go to sent folder and check the link in the message.
5. Oops, goes to a cheese site and not the mozilla site.

Actual Results:  
Mail recipient receives a email with link to cheese site, not mozilla site.

Expected Results:  
In step 2. the link becomes functional (blue highlighted) in the composer window
so I can click on it there and make sure it is right before sending it. Email
address should also become clickable (blue highlight) after they are typed in.

My search for this bug (actually a feature enhancement) turned up nothing using
terms like link, blue, highlight. Sorry if this has already been reported/requested.
