Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Close all Firefox windows 2.Click on a hyperlink in an email message (Thunderbird 0.5) 3.Look for the Back and Forward buttons 4.Further navigation to other sites does not make the buttons appear, you must close the browser completely and re-open it throught it's normal icon. Actual Results: Forward and Back buttons missing from Navigation toolbar Expected Results: The forward and back buttons should be present regardless of how the browser was opened. Does not appear to be theme dependant.

reporter, are you using the default theme or a third-party theme? you might be normally using a certain install, but your default association is to a version that doesn't work with your theme. easy fix, open the way it works properly, go to Tools->Options, set default browser, hit OK, then if you open via an external app it'll open the right version. easy test, open so that it works, open Help->About Firefox, check the build ID (copy/paste to notepad is good) repeat when opening from an external link and compare the two. This is probably invalid.
