The Win32 build page needs to be updated to reflect the libraries needed to build with MSVC7.1. Also, the wintools-dotnet.zip will only work on MSVC7.1 (Visual Studio .NET 2003) and not MSVC7 (Visual Studio .NET) because it includes the MSVC7.1 built versions of libIDL and glib, so that should probably be taken into account when updating the build page.
(Sorry, I posted in 215224 also by accident) ... I just seen on Slashdot that Microsoft is now offering Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 for free. http://msdn.microsoft.com/visualc/vctoolkit2003/ This is worth documenting and linking to on the build documentation page.
Meanwhile, could someone clarify on the following points, and make them clear when the website is updated. 1) If you're using .NET 2003 and have unpacked wintools-dotnet.zip and set MOZ_TOOLS to point to it, you don't need to download the glib and libIDL tarballs and do the GLIB_PREFIX and LIBIDL_PREFIX stuff do you? 2) Is there a wintools for .NET 2002? It would be nice to be able to have separate wintools directories for MSVS 6, .NET 2002 and .NET 2003, and set up the environment to point to the right one.
