Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. download something 2. cancel it before it's complete 3. see the typo "canceled" Actual Results: saw the typo Expected Results: spelled it right
Actually, both spellings are perfectly acceptable and in common use. Consult your local dictionary (or see http://webster.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?book=Dictionary&va=canceled&x=0&y=0)

searching www.m-w.com for "canceled" gives "One entry found for cancel. Main Entry: 1can·cel Pronunciation: 'kan(t)-s&l Function: verb Inflected Form(s): -celed or -celled; -cel·ing or can·cel·ling" Seems to be nothing wrong with the word, unless we use "cancelled" at other places and Moz is internally inconsistent.
> Seems to be nothing wrong with the word, unless we use "cancelled" at other > places and Moz is internally inconsistent. i was interested and according to lxr it's almost 50/50 between cancelled and canceled 629 cancelled 552 canceled
I'm leaving this one as INVALID [it technically is not a "typo"] and filed a new bug for the inconsistencies, see bug 241181.
