User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 Hello, Mozilla 1.6 and Firebird 0.7 crash everytime I try to save an image file from a web page to a certain directory path in Windows 2003 Standard Server and XP. The pathname is: D:\CD\_Elfwood_sorted\_Halflings_hybrids_naga_satyr_sphinx The file system of the D: drive is FAT32. Mozilla and Firebird just vanish from the screen as soon as I doubleclick _Halflings_hybrids_naga_satyr_sphinx in the Windows "Save image file as..." requester. I have had that in more than one OS installation on this computer, unfortunately. I don't see why no other application is having trouble with the pathname, but Mozilla 1.6/Firebird 0.7. And probably other versions of your browsers, so I a ssume it is a bug... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a website that has images on it. 2.Right click on a JPG or GIF image, choose "Save Image as..." 3.Go to the directory D:\CD\_Elfwood_sorted. 4.Click the directory name "_Halflings_hybrids_naga_satyr_sphinx" there. Actual Results: Mozilla 1.6 and Firebird 0.7 vanish from the screen and the quality feedback agent appears. Expected Results: Save the image and display the website again.

Mirco: Could you try to reproduce it with Mozilla 1.7b or actual nightbuild? Mozilla 1.6 is old, many bugs are fixed.

(In reply to comment #1) > Mirco: Could you try to reproduce it with Mozilla 1.7b or actual nightbuild? > Mozilla 1.6 is old, many bugs are fixed. I can describe the bug more precisely by now. Mozilla 1.6 crashes upon entering a directory name whose length exceeds 30 characters using "Save image as" or "save page as". "Save link target as" is not affected. Mozilla 1.7b does not crash due to the filenames anymore.
