I deleted the messenger.jar  and copied the same file from the former version.

You are most likely using the German language pack for Mozilla 1.7b together
with Mozilla 1.7RC1. The language pack is not compatible to Mozilla 1.7RC1
(setJunkScore.label references a string that didn't exist in Mozilla 1.7b yet).
