User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040421

I can move ONE message from an Exchange server through IMAP towards the Local
Folders but not more than one. With Cyrus IMAP server, it works fine.
The effect is the same if you drag/drop the messages or use the right-click ->
move-to or copy-to menus.
Moving multiple messages FROM Local Folders TO Exchange IMAP works fine.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup IMAP connection to Exchange server (I have only one I can test)
2. Select one message on IMAP server (any folder), move it to Local Folders. =>
works OK
3. Select 2 messages or more on IMAP server, drag & drop them on a Local Folder.
=> nothing happens

Actual Results:
Nothing. No message, no error, no message copy nor deletion. Just nothing.

Expected Results:
The messages should have moved.

I noticed the same problem with earlier versions too.
I have a quite clean setup: modern theme, adblock, live http headers. That's it.
No enigmail or anything related to email.
Can you generate an imap protocol log of the first and second copy by following
these instructions, and e-mail it to me, or attach here?

The files don't seem to help much, I think. :(
Should I raise the log level ?
No, somehow your logs are corrupt - did you wait for Mozilla to shut down before
copying the log? The logs mostly seem to be null bytes, and I don't know why
that is...
I did wait, yes. As I setup Mozilla to remain in the systray, I made sure I
opened Mozilla, tested the IMAP copy problem, exited mail & browser, then closed
the systray icon.

If I tried to rename the file before Mozilla ended completely, it would give me
an error that the file is locked. So no mistake possible.

I'll try to reproduce the problem from a different computer with similar setup.
The log file was corrupted when I closed the systray icon of Mozilla. So I did
a copy of the file with the browser open and here it is.

The log shows me open INBOX\Pegasus, select click on a message, ctrl-click
another one and then drag & drop them to Local Folders\zzIMAP\Pegasus-local

It looks to me like we try to run a url to fetch the message, but it never gets
off the ground for some reason...Something's not good - I need to figure out why
we might be bailing...
Bug 242579 is same problem?

I awared Junk mail move hang on 20040430-trunk build and found that multiple(3
mails or more in my test) copy/move hang is the main cause of it.
This copy/move hang made target folder inaccessible.
Restart of Mozilla(not Mail&News only restart) is required to recover.
This problem occurs only on trunk nightly and does not occur on 1.7RC1 and
latest nightly of 1.7 branch.

If this bug is problem on trunk build and if main cause is problem in writing to
destination folder instead of problem in reading from source folder, bug 242579
is possibly same problem.

Do you use trunk build? Or 1.7 branch build?
Does multiple(3 or more at same time) mail copy/move from local to local work on
your 2004/04/21 build?
I've found that Bug 242579 began on 2004-04-29 trunk build(Win-2K,ZIP) and no
problem on former builds.
So Bug 242579 is apparantly different problem.
same problem with this one.
Mozilla 1.7.3
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910

I can remember that I could do a whole move of several messages from an imap
folder to a local one (kind of backup of old mail) with previous releases of
mozilla (but dont remember whitch ones, sorry)
Product: MailNews → Core
fix should be in tomorrow's trunk builds
