User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040430 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040430 Firefox/0.8 This was mentioned as part of bug number 177360 but was never resolved (the rest of the bug was). Whenever an URI is selected (and thus opened in the browser window) it should be moved to the top of the list just as if it was typed into the Location Bar. This will keep the the most recently visted sites at the top of the list where they can be easily accessed again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a URL from the bottom of the Location Bar history. 2. Check the location bar history. 3. Actual Results: The URI is still at the bottom of the Location Bar history Expected Results: Moved the URI to the top
At the moment we don't automatically move anything to the top -- each URI is marked with the number of times it was accessed and we sort in terms of that... I know for a fact that we do adjust the relative order of entries based on selections from the drowdown (since some of my entries switched places yesterday because of that).
This bug is a duplicate of bug 258107.
