It would be nice to have an easy interface for entering multiple periodic events
(such as birthdays) all at once, instead of doing so every time through "New
Event" dialog.  
For example, as new user I would like to have a possibility to quickly enter a
lot of birthdays into the calendar. Right now it's cumbersome - I have to go
each time to "New Event" and click off lots of irrelevant radio buttons and so
on. An easy interface with a table of just: Month - Day - Event to fill out one
time would be great. This way it is even possible to have events happening each
month (enter 13 for month) or each week (enter 14 for month) etc., as is done in
Ajour (www.mycro-sys.dk)

This sounds rather like bug 274455, especially bug 274455 comment 2.  Reporter, can you please look 
over that bug and see if you consider it sufficient to cover your request.  If so, please resolve this bug 
as a duplicate of it.
