When going offline in the mail reader component (I have only verified this for
an IMAP server), the delete key doesn't behave the same as when online. When I
press delete, the message is marked as deleted but the focus doesn't switch to
the next message in the list. This makes reading and deleting a sequence of
messages extremely inconvenient (hit delete, then hit next, etc). Note that the
behavior when online is much better (hit delete marks message as deleted, then
moves to next message).

Note that I have the preference set up to mark messages as deleted rather than
to move them to the trash folder.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set option on IMAP server for deleting messages by "mark as deleted".
2. Go offline after synchonizing
3. Try deleting a message. Focus will stay on message.

Actual Results:
Focus stays on the just deleted message.

Expected Results:
Message should be marked as deleted and focus changed to next message (same as
behavior when online).

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
