I often send messages which i don't want to be stored in sent folder (i.e. sending some files to someone). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
This would be a bad idea. If made optional per-message, it would introduce clutter to the UI for the benefit of a very few people; if made optional per-account, somebody would end up regretting ever having set that option. Recommend WONTFIX.

I don't think that adding one menu item will clutter the UI. There could be checkable option "Don't send a copy" in menu "Options->Send a copy to" for example. I also don't understend the part about per-account setting. It is not possible to disable this feature by unchecking the checkbox "Place copy in" in the account preferences (page "Copies & Folders")?
