It should support more versatile stores such as CVS. This would minimize the amount of data that is required to be transfered, would provide a history of configuration changes, etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Yes, I intentionally left the option open for this, you would implement a new "Protocol" [1]. Main problem would be to offer UI and error feedback, if any. [1] <http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/extensions/sroaming/src/Protocol.h> > a history of configuration changes Do you really want to have a full history of all your bookmark etc. changes?

(In reply to comment #1) > Do you really want to have a full history of all your bookmark etc. changes? Given how often a bad nightly can (and often does) trash my profile - yeah. :)

I like this idea since it will also allow simaltaneous using of the same Mozilla settings by several roaming users.

This bug is filed in a bugzilla component related to pre-Firefox code which no longer exists. I believe it is no longer relevant and I am therefore closing it INCOMPLETE. If you believe that this bug is still valid and needs to be fixed, please reopen it and move it to the Toolkit:Startup and Profile System product/component.
