When opening Mail&Nesgroups, the icons are not translated (Get messages, reply
etc.), and the help text that appears when moving the mouse curser onto the
icons is also in English.
When opening the pull down menu "Datei" (File), there are only 3 points
translated: Neu, Seite speichern, Offline arbeiten. All other pull down menus
have this strange mixture of original and translation, too. Only the menu titles
are translated.

There is a resolution, simply turn back to US-american language and again to
German/Austrian language.
I also could solve this problem by uninstalling the German language pack and
reinstalling it again.
Really strange.
