I downloaded and installed Mozilla 1.8a and everything seemed fine until I
reached a message that had a smiley at the end.  The smiley wasn't displayed
(just white space) and after that all messages appeared to be white text on a
white bnckground.  Even trying "View Source" produced only an apparently empty
window.  The sizes of the messages were still being reported in the message list.

I did not try to reproduce this problem, but instead returned to Mozilla 1.6 to
read my mail.

save it to a .EML file and attach it to this bug.
