User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040210 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040210 Firefox/0.8 When such an URL is opened, Firefox first tries to resolve it, when it does not succeed, it asks the default search engine (in my case google.com) and then goes to microsoft.com Interesting enough, when giving performing a google search with the same string, but in the normal way (i.e. opening google.com and then entering http://http/test.com), the search engine gives no result related to microsoft.com, so I guess this is not the "I'm feeling lucky" feature, but something else, actually I'm not sure it is a Firefox problem but I think it is good to be investigated, because for the user it looks like a strange bug Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enter http://http/test.com in the address bar 2.Press Enter 3.Wait a while Expected Results: Should have displayed some kind of error message, even before trying to resolve the host, since the url is not in the valid format, so the browser sould not accept it at all
