This was fixed on the LDAP C SDK trunk as part of bug 184219.  I had not planned
to commit those changes to ldapcsdk_50_client_branch, since:

1) This problem is just an annoyance.

2) The Mozilla client builds will eventually move to newer LDAP C SDK code and
pick up the fixes.

If this really bothers you, we could commit to ldapcsdk_50_client_branch though.
