maybe a regression from bug 243966, can you narrow the regression window even more (possibly testing 20040602 and 20040603) ?
not likely. iirc our crutches live in http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/modules/plugin/base/src/nsPluginsDirUnix.cpp feel free to look around. possibly play w/ the prefs mentioned in that file (no compiling required...).
