Whenever I download a file, and download finishes in the javascript control i
get the following error
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code:
0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE) [nsISupports.QueryInterface]" nsresult: "0x80004002
(NS_NOINTERFACE)" location: "JS frame ::
chrome://global/content/alerts/alert.js :: prefillAlertInfo :: line 69" data: no]
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download a file
2. After download finishes see the javascript console. An error is displayed
3.
Actual Results:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code:
0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE) [nsISupports.QueryInterface]" nsresult: "0x80004002
(NS_NOINTERFACE)" location: "JS frame ::
chrome://global/content/alerts/alert.js :: prefillAlertInfo :: line 69" data: no]
This error was displayed in console
Expected Results:
No Error
Does this happen after clicking the link in the popup alert, if so this is
probably a duplicate of Bug 229062.
No I didnt click on the download popup still got the error. I am trying to
figure out whether this happens before or after popup but no luck so far

I'm seeing this too.
It looks to me like this is the reason the link on download complete doesn't
work. The Alert service is trying to query nsIAlertListener interface from the
passed window argument from nsDownloadManager and nsDownloadManager does not
appear to be supplying it although it does have callback functions defined.
Also the alert.js should try to query the interface within a try so that we
don't get that error.

This should be fixed with today's checkin of
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=152080
Asking to close as fixed
I'm going to close this by duping it against Bug 229062 since they're two sides
of the same problem.
Reporter, if you still see this issue in a new nightly build please reopen.
