I have not been able to reproduce this on Windows XP using my profile imported
from 0.8 or a new profile. I wonder if this crash is related to a specific IE
version or the contents of the information being imported? Or if it only occurs
when the user doesn't have any existing profiles when they install Firefox?

I user at work has this problem and has narrowed it down to happening if either
of these fields are checked:
Saved Form History
Saved Passwords
This occurs with a virgin install of Firefox 0.91 on a Windows 95a IE 5.5 SP2
box. Crashes on install (presumably when importing) and on manual selection
of import from menu.

I have the same thing on a first time install of Firefox 0.91 on a windows XP
Pro version 2002 SP1 with IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 (IE 6 SP2).

I can confirm this bug with one of our users. Running Windows 2000 SP4 and IE
6.0.2800.1106 and as said earlier, this crashes only when attempting to import
Form History or Saved Passwords.

Is this above the patch to fix the said issue?

Reopening. This is still a topcrasher with Firefox 1.0 PR1. The stack and
comments are all about the same as before. To see the latest Talkback data just
do a search for "nsIEProfileMigrator::CopyFormData" here:

Adding yet another stack signature to the summary. There seems to be at least 5
different crashes being reported with Firefox 1.0 PR1 that are all results of
importing/migrating IE settings. Bug 245722 is also a similar crash that might
be worth a look at.

If Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001
Firefox/0.10.1 is supposed to have the fix, it doesn't do it, at least not for
me. See Talkback incident TB1083566Y.

Ben: Before we mark this fixed again, I wanted to clear up something... this
was fixed on the Aviary branch on 9/29, correct? It was NOT included in the
0.10.1 release, which was based off of the old 0.10.0 (Firefox 1.0 PR) release,
right? If the answer to both of the questions is YES, then please mark this
fixed. Thanks!

I am also getting "crashed" from importing IE6.0 into the latest and greatest
(just downloaded at 12:40 p.m. EDST 10/11/04) 1.0PR. I can vouch that it is NOT
fixed as yet... Help? I will try to re-do while not using the "import Form
History or Saved Passwords" options...

I talked to Ben and it looks like this crash has been fixed (but not in the
latest 0.10.1 PR release). Marking fixed.
If anyone is able to reproduce this with a recent 0.9+ nightly (like
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2004-10-11-07-0.9/),
please feel free to reopen again.
