Large file downloads never complete on Solaris . The download manager claims
they are done, but in reality the files is always truncated. Eg. this 281 MB
file got truncated to 49MB for me . This is typical. I have even had problems
downloading smaller files, eg. newer builds of Mozilla sometimes.

Please provide a HTTP log. Instructions for other platforms are available here:

Julien: what version? I used 1.4.1 on the test solaris system @mozilla (darin, I
can give you access if you need it), and it loaded several large files (from the
sun.com site no less), w/o a problem.

The same happens for me both with FireFox (Sun supplied FF-1.0.7-sol8-gtk2) and
Mozilla (1.7.11) both downloaded from mozilla.org. OS is Solaris 2.9.
Downloading Oracle CDs (e-delivery.oracle.com) fails using my Solaris desktop,
but works fine with FireFox 1.0.7 as currently shipping with Fedora Core
(Linux-x86).
The same happens when downloading Solaris 10 CDs.

Maybe dup of bug 208843. Does it happen more on dual CPU machines?
The fix is now in the trunk, so test with a trunk nightly build from 20051113 or later.
