If the firebird SQL server developers want to set up a bugzilla installation,
they are welcome to (bugzilla is an open-source bug tracking tool). This is not
something bugzilla.mozilla.org would do. Please see http://www.bugzilla.org/ for
information about setting up your own bugzilla installation.

This bug isn't about mozilla.org, it's about the Bugzilla software. This is a
valid feature request. (though the likelihood of it getting implemented in the
near future is probably slim unless someone that knows Interbase/Firebird steps
up to take care of it)

There is a lot of work towards cross-DB compatibility going on right now.
Support for Postgres and Oracle will probably be landing soon (2.20ish). If
Firebird supports something close to ANSI SQL, it's probably quite doable.
