Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9 Build Identifier: Firefox/0.9 When I click an embedded URL link in an incoming message using Eudora 6.0.3.0 (I have not tested with Outlook or Outlook Express) Firefox (my default browser) opens a new window to display the URL. However, at the same time, it spawns a second window that launches IE which then points to the URL. I'm saying this happens every time because the drop down choices don't offer a match. This event occurs nearly every time. But I cannot find a correlation for the times it does not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Incoming email message in Eudora contains an URL link 2.Click the link to launch the browser and view the URL 3. Actual Results: Firefox launched and open the URL, then IE launched into the onFocus position and opened the URL. Expected Results: Only Firefox should have opened to visit the URL. I have friends who've experienced the same problem only they have had Firefox open two windows rather than the Firefox and IE combination I've experienced. I have uninstalled Firefox (including all associated folders) twice and reinstalled with no change in the results. I have also checked all configuration settings in IE and Eudora and found no discrepancy that will cause this result.
