Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1 Tools > Options ... > Downloads: "Save all files to this folder:" was set to "Desktop" by default. However, it points the folder "c:\Documents and Settings\MyUser\Desktop", which is not my Desktop folder. I use a custom desktop folder: "E:\MyUser\Desktop" (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\Desktop). Firefox downloads files to the wrong folder. This value is correctly detected by the recent version of 0.8 I downloaded (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/FirefoxSetup.exe). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Change Desktop location (I used Tweak UI: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx) 2. Install Firefox (default download folder s/b Desktop, unless this setting is grabbed from Mozilla) 3. Download a file Actual Results: File is Downloaded to c:\Documents and Settings\MyUser\Desktop Expected Results: Download the file to E:\MyUser\Desktop
This is probably bug 228977, which was just fixed.
