Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1 Build Identifier: Firefox/0.9.1 When clicking hyperlinks on various sites, intranet and internet, I get a save as dialog box that pops open but I sill get the page that I want to open. This is not a show stopper just a real annoyance. Any ideas??? I have upgraded to Mozilla Firefox 0.9.1 and the problem continues, is this just a settings problem? I use Firefox at home and do not have this issue. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: Open a hyperlink without opening the save as dialog box.
Component: Browser-General → General
Product: Browser → Firefox
Version: Trunk → unspecified
Correction...the dialog box that opens is a "Locate Link Browser" Dialog box, looks exactlyt he same as a "Save As" dialog box.
Summary: Save As Dialog box when click on hyperlink → Locate Link Browser dialog box when clicking on hyperlink
I get the same behaviour
Purely a problem with DDE registration; could this be a regression? bug 246078 I can reproduce this with the current update build of Outlook 2003 (11.5608.5703) on Windows XP Pro SP1 (5.1.2600) for any 'hyperlink formatted' content in an email body (regardless of the message format [plain text, RTF, or HTML]) when Firefox/0.9.1 has been set as the default browser. However, similar bug 137363 remains fixed for me. Possibly the registration for HTM and HTML File is correct, but 'URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol' is incorrect. One interim workaround: 1. From Windows Explorer’s Tools menu select 'Folder Options…' then go to tab 'File Types'. 2. Among the listed items having Extensions '(NONE)', select the item 'URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol'. Click the button Advanced. 3. The single listed action is titled 'open'. Click the button Edit. 4. Clear the checkbox 'Use DDE' and confirm each of the three dialog boxes. You might try the same for DDE registered file type '(NONE), URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy' (for HTTPS links?).
