At some sites that have links where a secondary pop-up window will open up when
you click the link, I found that the link that you click on in the main site (ie
the original site) does not change colour.
Normally, when using internet explorer or other browsers, the link you click on
will immediately change colour, which lets a user know that the link has been
visited. But if you visit this link ...
http://www.welcometosilentmovies.com/atthemovies/thestars2.htm
and for example you click on the link 'Hollywood Silents' ... you will notice
that a secondary window will pop up. But the 'Hollywood Silents' text in the
original window has not changed colour.
The only time that 'Hollywood Silents' will change colour is when you refresh
the original window, or if you close the window and then visit the original site
(ie. http://www.welcometosilentmovies.com/atthemovies/thestars2.htm) again.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to http://www.welcometosilentmovies.com/atthemovies/thestars2.htm
2. click on the link to 'Hollywood Silents'
3.
Actual Results:
notice that 'Hollywood Silents' does not change colour until you refresh the
original window.
Expected Results:
The text that says 'Hollywood Silents' should immediately change colour to
indicate to the user that the link has been clicked (visited).

I forgot to mention that this reported bug happens in firefox, but internet
explorer does not have this same problem for this particular case described for
firefox.

Might have the same cause as bug 249890, "Clicking link with frame target
doesn't immediately mark link visited".
